An Olson customer who manufacturers trolleys was asked to design and supply trollies for the NHS.
The company modified the design to suit the NHS’s requirements and asked Olson to adapt the Power trip used on the trollies to make it suitable for use in hospitals.
As Olson has been supplying power solutions to the NHS for many years, they knew the requirements and were able to provide a suitable product.
Olson provided a solution with green LED indicators, low smoke zero halogen cables and red plugs.

A London hospital had an issue where the Olson power distribution strip was mounted on a portable trolley and if the trolley was moved the mains plug would be ripped out of the wall socket and damaged.
Olson’s engineers worked with the hospital and developed a modified power strip with a detachable lead so if the trolley was moved the lead would simply unplug and the wall plug would not be damaged.
As Olson manufacture all products at their dedicated UK facility the changes were quickly incorporated into the factory and supplied within normal lead time and at minimum additional cost.
